Why Set Limits Before Your First Wager
The best time to think about limits is before you’re in the middle of a session, not after. betOcean builds a full set of responsible gaming tools directly into your account, and setting them up takes just a couple of minutes after registration.
Responsible Gaming Tools Available at betOcean
Tool | What It Does | Where to Find It |
Deposit limits | Caps how much you can add to your account daily, weekly, or monthly | My Account > Responsible Gaming |
Time-out | Temporarily locks your account for a period you choose | My Account > Responsible Gaming |
Self-exclusion | Longer-term account closure through betOceans self-exclusion program program | My Account > Responsible Gaming |
Wager Limits | Sets a daily, weekly or monthly wager limit which prevents you from being able to wager more than a specified amount during that period. | My Account > Responsible Gaming |
Single Wager Limit | Sets a maximum single wager limit for your account. This limit applies to the total wager amount | My Account > Responsible Gaming |
Time Limits | Sets a limit on the number of hours and/or minutes per day that you will be able to log into the site. | My Account > Responsible Gaming |
For more on how these tools work alongside funding your account, see our first deposit guide.
New Jersey's Statewide Self-Exclusion Program
Beyond the tools inside your betOcean account, New Jersey runs a statewide self-exclusion program through the Division of Gaming Enforcement. Enrolling blocks access to all licensed NJ online, not just one operator, for the period you select.
If You Need Support
Responsible gaming tools are meant to be used before they’re needed – but support is available any time:
- Call the New Jersey problem gambling helpline: 1-800-GAMBLER.
- Find state-specific resources through the National Council on Problem Gambling.
- Review betOcean’s full approach to patron protection on our Patron Protection page.
